This typically happens when you’ve had an overage. In some months, you may have had more active users on the system than your plan permits. We don’t lock them out. Instead, we warn you about it and charge you for the additional users in your monthly bill. This is a transient cost – it goes away as soon as the excess users are no longer active on the system. A similar cost may be incurred if you have content in excess of the permitted storage allowance for your plan.
A plan permits a set number of maximum active users for your billing period. Thus, if it is a 25 users per month plan, it means that you may accommodate a maximum of 25 active users each month. Whether you have zero or 25 active users, the billing remains constant – whatever is the plan amount you’ve signed up for. When the number of active users exceeds 25 for any given month, you get charged an overage as per the additional user fee applicable for your plan.

We charge the card on a recurring monthly basis, or annually upfront, as per your plan. If you choose the annual plan, we deduct the amount for the 12 months upfront. Note that this is why you get a discounted price on the annual plan, compared to the monthly one. In the monthly plan, we deduct the amount every month.
An active user is any unique user who has accessed at least one content item in a month. The Philosophy of our Pricing: REASONABLENESS: Our pricing is based not on how many people you have distributed content with, the number of distribution lists or how many content items were read by your users. We don’t penalize you if your content is a raging success! We don’t penalize you for trying to reach out to more people! We only charge you when your users actually show interest in the content you have shared with them. Then, your business delivers value to your users; and then we share that value as well. When more unique users access your content, you get more active users on your system. When they stop being interested in your content, we stop considering them as active users.
The way your plan works is: it provides a ceiling – a maximum number – of active users in a period. It is a fixed amount each month (or year). There is no concept of partial billing in our pricing plans. Therefore, if you signed up for a 500 user monthly plan, the amount charged each month is the same. Whether you had zero, 10 or 500 users does not matter. However, if you have 506 users in a month, for that month alone, you will get an additional invoice for the 6 extra users at the rate specified in your plan for additional users.
We charge the fixed fee at the beginning of the cycle – At the start of your annual subscription or at the beginning of each month, for monthly plans. However, excesses and overages are charged for the current month, along with the fixed bill of the next month. For example, if you have 10 extra users and 1GB more data in January than your plan allows, your February bill will carry charges for: ⦾ Fixed fees for February + ⦾ 10 extra users’ fees for January + ⦾ 1GB addl data fees for January.
